Hello there! We are Paper Birch Collective, your premier friendly neighborhood wedding photography and videography team based in Orange County. Our team is a blend of talented photographers and videographers who share a passion for storytelling. Who Is Paper Birch Collective (PBC)?

First things first, a little bit about PBC. Our team is passionate about beautifully capturing life's most special moments forever with photo and video. We cover a variety of events including weddings, engagements, elopements, proposals, graduations, family reunions, and much more! From the vibrant colors and rich traditions of Vietnamese and Chinese weddings to the intricate beauty of Indian, Jewish, and Middle Eastern ceremonies, we embrace the uniqueness of each and every culture. Whether it’s a serene beach wedding, an intimate elopement, or a traditional tea ceremony, our team is dedicated to making your wedding experience fun, memorable, and beautifully documented. On top of documenting life's most precious memories, we also specialize in a variety of other photography and videography, such as commercial, product, and music videos to name a few. Each one of us loves to do personal projects along with our work! We never go anywhere without our trusty cameras, as we work nearly 24/7 (since 2016) to build ourselves to be the premier friendly neighborhood photographers and videographers. 📸🎥

Snowboarding, Rock Climbing, Airsofting, Guns, Knives, Watches, Golf, Pickleball, Pokemon Card Collecting, Hiking, Overlanding

Three words to describe self:

Spontaneous, Energetic, Outgoing

Favorite part about the team:

Definitely the people & the fact that we all hangout outside of work.

Favorite memory with the team:

Biking under the waterfalls of Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland. It was a magical moment, probably happiest moment of my life.

Best part about wedding photography:

Meeting amazing clients, traveling and experiencing new things, making new friends, capturing one of the most important life moments.

Photo or video:

Photo. I like doing photo more because I get so much footage but never have the time to edit it.

Spirit Animal:

Badgers, because they’re basically the crazy Florida man of the animal kingdom.

Norbert Tsi

Hobbies (other than photo/video):

Outside of weddings, I'm into documentary and street photography. I collect old cameras and other gear for fun, shoot film, and I'm a cyclist.

Three words to describe self:

Generous, organized, determined

Favorite part about the team:

When we're all sitting around a table at Canes or whatever after a long wedding and we're all hanging out exhausted from the day but we're in high spirits so the conversation is good, the energy is good, and there's a strong sense of comradery.

Favorite memory with the team:

Many good memories, but my favorites are always the ones where we're driving on road trips and we're just talking. It's such a surreal experience to look back on. So simple, yet so deep.

Best part about wedding photography:

When you see everything come together, you have a couple that has good chemistry not just with each other but with the team as well, and we're all there to capture their love and we have genuine smiles and laughs all around. Sunset at a beach is a bonus.

Photo or video:

Photo. The clean simplicity of a good photograph is just something else. Video is great, but a good photograph can give you all the elements of a great video condensed into a single frame. Also, because it's by itself and not accompanied by sound or other frames, it leaves a lot to the imagination so your mind starts to recall sounds, feeling, smells, tastes, emotions, to fill in the gaps.

Spirit Animal:

Probably a raccoon. A successful raccoon will get what they need without being noticed, which is important to get genuine emotions in photographs.

High Pressure but High Reward. You get to impact someone’s most important day.

Video, because if a picture told a thousand words… you get the point.

Tech, I love tech. Smart homes or automations, I love immersing myself in that. I also enjoy saunas and hot workouts.

Describe myself…. TLC. Tender love and care 😂

Favorite part about the team:

These are the main guys, Norbert and Alvis took me under their wing around 2019, been with PBC before it was PBC, it’s home you know.

Favorite memory with the team:

The guys hosted a grad trip for me after I finally graduated lmao it was a fun 4 days packed with activities and amazing locations.

Best part about wedding photography:

It’s the vibe, having a context of happiness established makes it easy to shoot beautiful shots.

Photo or video:

Ooooo, right now it’s video again I keep having waves where I like one more than the other, however I will say I think video has a deeper rabbit hole than photo.

My favorite hobbies gotta be gaming, boxing, and film photography.

Curious, considerate, eager.

Favorite part about the team:

The fact that we are friends first and foremost. Of course, we know how to be professional when working, but having that base of being friends personally helps me so much in staying motivated and involved with our work.

Favorite memory with the team:

My favorite memory with the team has to be our little retreat at Big Bear. I've never laughed that much with them, despite dislocating my arm when we snowboarded.

Best part about wedding photography:

My favorite part of wedding photography is the traveling aspect; there are so many places and people I would've never met without weddings.

Photo or video:

I've always been a filmmaker first! But I have grown to also love doing photography.

Spirit animal is definitely a frog.

Maybe video, I have been experimenting with creating short films and want to explore narrative filmmaking.

Looking back at the same photo over and over again until you get sick of it and find another good photo to gawk over.

Taking photos is more rewarding I feel and video is a lot easier for me, it’s kind of a toss up for me.
